ESCAPELLE can be taken at any time of the menstrual cycle, and generally does not affect it. In most cases, menstruation comes as usual, but there is a possibility that the onset of menstruation will be delayed by a few days. This is a normal reaction, but before the next cycle things adjust. These symptoms are due to the effect of the hormone on your body. Exclude the thought of pregnancy, because when taking the tablet, there is a possibility that the menstrual cycle will come a few days later or earlier than usual. The other thing that should be known is that changes in the character of menstruation can be observed – it becomes scarcer or more abundant. ESCAPELLE may alter the accuracy of your menstrual cycle in the month you take it. With repeated reception of the pill for emergency contraception, the probability of a change in the menstrual cycle may increase – therefore, it is used in extreme cases, rarely. It is not recommended to use the ESCAPELLE emergency contraceptive tablet more than once during a single menstrual cycle. If your period is more than 5 to 7 days late, take a pregnancy test. In case of pain in the lower abdomen, consult a gynecologist, as it may be an ectopic pregnancy. For multiple sexual acts in the same menstrual period, use other contraceptives – condoms for example.
