Why shouldn’t men wear skinny jeans?

Medical professionals with years of experience warn of the increasing number of health problems caused by tight pants in men. Dr. Hilary Jones, a popular British physician, discloses information on several cases of testicular torsion. According to him, the condition is increasing. Testicular torsion is a serious condition and develops when the vas deferens cannot move freely due to wearing too tight and absorbent pants or underwear, but most often – jeans. This causes the vas deferens to twist, leading to an ischemic condition where blood does not reach the tissues of the testicle. This painful condition requires immediate surgical intervention, and if left untreated, can rapidly cause gangrene of the testicles. In addition to being life-threatening, the condition is an almost certain sentence of sterility. Other dangerous conditions caused by wearing fashionable tight pants are oligospermia and fungal infections. Oligospermia is a medical term used to refer to the very low amount of sperm in the seminal fluid and is among the common causes of male infertility. Pressing the scrotum too tightly to the body causes mechanical tension of the tissues and an increase in the temperature of the testicles, which harms spermatogenesis – the production of male sex cells. The health of the gonads in a man directly affects the levels of testosterone – the most characteristic hormone for the stronger sex, which has a number of physiological and psychological effects in men. NEWS_MORE_BOX The increase in temperature and the limitation of the area for normal function of the skin in the groin area are prerequisites for the development of bacterial and fungal infections, for the causative agents of which good conditions are created for reproduction. They can force the taking of antibiotics and burden the sex life for a long time. Specialists recommend wearing only pants that have enough room for a free position of the scrotum. The slightest signs of discomfort on the side of the groin means that the garment that presses them is damaging them. The same applies to underwear – it should be loose, not tight fitting. Dr. Jones urges people not to choose style over health.
