The ideal duration of the sexual act is 10 minutes, according to a study of American specialists by American scientists from the University of Pennsylvania. The study is based on data collected among 50 members of the Society for Sexual Therapy and Research, which deals with counseling couples with sexual problems. The results obtained from anonymous surveys show that sex lasting between 1 and 2 minutes is defined as unsatisfying and insufficient, 3 to 7 is acceptable, and more than 13 minutes becomes too long and boring. The largest percentage of survey participants , according to which intercourse between 7 and 13 minutes is most preferred. According to scientists, modern culture tries to impose unrealistic ideas about how long intercourse should last, which often leads to disappointment and dissatisfaction in some couples.
