Couples who do not have sex before marriage are happier and have more stable relationships than those who start sex earlier, according to a new British study. The study involved more than 2,000 married couples. Psychologists have found that couples who practice abstinence until the first wedding night are more satisfied with the quality of their sex lives afterwards. Experts believe that this may be due to improved communication between lovers who were chaste before marriage. “Those who abstained until the wedding are now happier in their relationship sexually than other couples because they have discovered many other ways to bond and have learned to talk to each other about expectations si,” says Prof. Dean Busby, head of the study. “After all, sex is key to good communication, regardless of whether we’re married or not,” he adds. Other studies prove that in couples who do sex before marriage, there is a much higher divorce rate, with 50% more people getting married, according to national statistics. The figures show that 44% of British children are out of wedlock.
