Moember in Bulgaria is a new interpretation of the Moember global initiative, which originated from the Australian Adam Garon’s idea to dedicate the month of November to mustaches. In this case, the mustache plays a symbolic role and draws attention to the prevention of one of the most common oncological diseases in men – carcinoma of the prostate or testicles. Today, thousands of men around the world forget about the razor in November, and the funds raised for research in the field of uro-oncology are tens of thousands of dollars. In Bulgaria, mustak.eu aims to gather all information on the problem in one place and uses all methods to focus public opinion on prostate cancer. The ladies (Ludmila Filipova – writer, Tanya Boeva ​​- singer, Alexandra Feodorova – Mrs. Bulgaria 2013) participate in Moemvri by posing with mustaches for a calendar that is not usual, from November 2013 to November 2014. and promotes the great cause. The other participants in the calendar are Maria Valkanova – manager, Iva Doichinova – journalist and Kamelia Voche – singer. At the request of “Hill Clinic” and out of concern for their male relatives, they stand in front of the lens of photographers from Kare studio and pose for the noble cause: prostate cancer prevention. In November 2013, at the Hill Clinic, men with prostate cancer are offered free consultations through examinations and documents by the clinic’s urologists and Prof. Dr. Uwe Stolzenburg from the University Hospital Leipzig in order to recommend the best possible treatment.
