Canadian scientists from the University of British Columbia have found that simultaneously with the increase in sexual activity in women, their appetite also increases, and along with that, excess weight. To prove their hypothesis, the specialists conducted an experimental study among couples living together for more than three years. Over a period of three months, the participants had to increase their sexual activity from two to five times a week. The initial weight of the volunteers, their physical activity and their eating habits and preferences were taken into account. At the end of the study, 62% of the women had gained weight. Although increased sexual activity is associated with the expenditure of more calories, it also significantly increases the appetite of the ladies, which in turn leads to the acceptance of larger amounts of food and, accordingly, to the accumulation of kilograms, the scientists explain. A similar dependence was not observed in men.
