Lubricants are often used during sexual intercourse – when natural lubrication is insufficient or completely absent, and the end result is vaginal dryness. The reasons for this problem can be very different. In such moments, lubricants come to the rescue, which are of various types. Some of them are water-based, others silicone-based or oil-based. Some claim to provide a warming, cooling or even massage sensation. However, which is the best choice both for a good sexual experience and for maximum health safety? Fat-based lubricants don’t get a good reputation… and rightfully so. They are sticky, greasy and, most importantly, they damage latex condoms, thus making their use pointless.
