Acute inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract and prostate gland, some blood diseases (leukemia), tumors of the penis, prostate, bladder or other organ are considered probable. In certain cases, the cause of priapism can be an involvement of the nervous system (irritation of the erection center). Chronic priapism It is usually observed in chronic inflammatory diseases of the posterior urethra and prostate gland. It manifests itself with a painful erection when moving and rubbing the penis. Chronic priapism is characterized by a painful and unpleasant erection at night. The patient feels the need to get up, move and urinate, so that the painful erection disappears after a few hours. Alcohol consumption can be one of the causes of painful erection. NEWS_MORE_BOX Treatment Treatment is usually difficult and without much effect.
