According to a University of Pittsburgh study, 80% of menopausal women experience hot flashes and/or profuse night sweats. These phenomena have been observed for 10 years. The study involved menopausal women between the ages of 40 and 65 who filled out a questionnaire about their daily life and the extent of their symptoms. The results show that menopausal symptoms are milder in women who are more aware and under less stress. A person can achieve his self-awareness in many different ways. One of them is meditation. Another study published in September 2019 in PLOS One found a link between stress levels and the severity of hot flashes. One of the ways to improve the condition and make it easier to deal with the hot flashes that have appeared are deep inhalations and exhalations. This is because through controlled breathing, a person can lower their heart rate, which contributes to temperature regulation.
