That is why regular preventive examinations are extremely important and they detect diseases in time, the precise treatment of which could completely prevent further complications. This is also the reason why every year MBAL Doverie strives to provide its patients with free gynecological examinations for the purpose of cancer prevention and timely intervention in emerging diseases. The types of gynecological diseases could hardly be divided into only a few categories, but the most common are sexually transmitted infections, genital herpes, adnexitis, endometritis, endometriosis, as well as oncological gynecological diseases. According to the causative agents, sexually transmitted infections can be classified as diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. About 20 diseases belong to this group. The most pronounced representatives are syphilis, gonorrhea, warts, tripe, trichomoniasis, hepatitis B, etc. Timely treatment is a must, because if left untreated, most sexually transmitted diseases can cause sterility. Genital herpes is caused by a special type of virus, and once the infection occurs, it persists for life. It is activated in certain diseases, stress and a decline in the immune system, and treatment should begin with the first symptoms. In addition, sexual contact should be limited in order not to infect the partner. This type of disease affects the mucous membranes of the genital organs. The main symptoms of herpes are burning, pain, itching and discomfort. In patients with very frequent manifestations, long-term antiherpes preparations in small doses can be given. NEWS_MORE_BOX Another type of gynecological disease is adnexitis. This is a single or double inflammation of the ovaries and fallopian tubes protecting the uterus. The causative agents are a large number of microorganisms, very often – gonococci and chlamydia. Adnexitis occurs in three main forms – acute, subacute and chronic. In the acute form, there is an increase in temperature, pain in the pelvic area, nausea, gas, pain and tightness in the lower part of the stomach. Chronic occurs with mild pain and disturbances in the cycle. Treatment for this type of disease depends on the cause, and antibiotics, physical therapy, gymnastics and other hardening procedures are usually prescribed. In addition, it is recommended to improve nutrition, emphasizing foods rich in vitamins. Endometritis is an inflammation of the lining of the uterus. The disease sometimes develops unnoticed, with sudden heaviness and pains in the lower abdomen and in the pelvis, which are tight and sharp. Often these pains are accompanied by nausea, vomiting, copious purulent discharge, and menstruation becomes irregular. The causes of this type of inflammation can be various chronic diseases, vitamin deficiency, reduced immunity, stress, hormonal disturbances. Endometritis is often seen in women with trauma to the uterus after an abortion or childbirth complications. The treatment consists in the administration of antibiotics and hormonal preparations, which help to restore the uterine lining. Endometriosis is a disease of the female reproductive system that affects about 25-30% of women. In most cases, endometriosis is diagnosed in women aged 25-30 years. The causes of this disease are not known, but endometriosis most often affects the uterus. It means that endometriosis tissue (the lining of the uterus) begins to grow outside the uterus. However, there are symptoms by which the disease can be diagnosed, namely severe pain during menstruation, which is abundant and shorter. In addition, with external genital endometriosis, the pain is constant and is caused by accumulated adhesions. The diagnosis can only be confirmed by laparoscopy. Without treatment, the disease leads to sterility due to severely affected ovarian function. Oncological gynecological diseases are one of the most common and dangerous diseases for women. They are divided into several types of ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, cervical cancer, etc. Worldwide, statistics show that after breast cancer, cervical cancer and endometrial cancer are the most common gynecological cancers and are one of the leading causes of death in women.
