What are the most common infections that we suffer from in summer? 1. Yeast infections are one of the most common complaints among women during the summer season, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At least ¾ of the fair sex at least once in their life experience the unpleasant symptoms of itching, swelling of the mucous membrane of the genitals, because of Candida in this season. Fungi love a moist, warm environment, and in the summer we certainly provide it generously – beach, wet swimsuits… To shorten the period of infection immediately with the tingling sensation, take measures and schedule an examination. Although representatives of the stronger sex complain of annoying burning between the toes more in winter, the season of flip-flops and slippers also predisposes them. The reasons are numerous. You prefer to wear closed shoes even in summer, but even light rubbers and boots in the heat steam the feet and keep the skin moist. The problem is also present in all mass-worn cheap shoes made of artificial materials, which also hinder the air circulation and heat exchange of the feet, even if they are more open. In the summer, we step barefoot much more often on surfaces that are also stepped on by others, also barefoot… If hygiene is also poor or we suffer from high blood sugar, then our infection is “tied in a towel” in this contact with the contaminated surface . What helps in this case – don’t go barefoot, but that doesn’t mean in sneakers, at least in flip flops. Sneakers should be worn infrequently when necessary, the model should be appropriate for the season, and cotton socks are a must. In case of complaint – even at the first stinging and burning, apply a quality product for local application. In pharmacies, effective enough sprays are available for this purpose.
