Researchers at Rutgers University, New Jersey, used scans to observe women’s brains experiencing peak sexual pleasure and found that different parts of the brain were activated according to which parts of the body were aroused. Scientists make an interesting discovery – during orgasm it is possible to activate up to 30 different parts of the brain, including those responsible for emotions, touch, joy, satisfaction and memory. According to the research, 2 minutes before orgasm, the so-called reward centers in the brain become active. These are the areas that are usually activated when we consume food and drink.
