Women simulate orgasm when they fear cheating on their partner with another, according to American scientists. Women believe that the more often they “act out” the sexual climax, the greater the chance of keeping a man by their side, the researchers also say. The study involved 453 heterosexual women between the ages of 18 and 46 who were in a serious relationship lasting at least 6 months. They fill out a questionnaire about their sex life and relationship with their partner. More than half of women (53.9%) claim to reach orgasm with their current partner. The scientists came to the conclusion, however, that women who doubt that their partner will cheat on them are more likely to fake an orgasm. Researchers from Columbia University in New York and Oakland University in Michigan reveal a number of tactics developed by women that they use when in doubt and concerned that a partner may be cheating. In addition to fake orgasms, they also include putting more effort into their appearance. According to experts, women who reach orgasm are more likely to hold their lover’s interest.
